Tandoori Chicken Hoagie's and my Dads little lounge room

Salam everyone hope everyone's fine and in the best of health in these cold, breezy, chili, freezing days (The list can go on forever lol)
I'm doing great Alhamdulilah! the days have became so short yet there's so much that I want to do all day.. Lately Ive been busy organizing little things in the home.
I started of with my dads little lounge room. We call it his lounge because that's a little extra dining room in our house where my dad likes to sit and read his newspaper and have his chai because theres so much light in the room. He would sit on a normal chair and just read the paper, talk on the phone and have his Latte lol.

So I hit the Antique shop that was around the corner and found this cozy little cute sofa that I loved. I made a grab for it!  Then I went to Walmart and bought some beautiful fabric to make some window coverings. I went to the window and took measurment's and got busy..  Everything was coming together so beautifuly Mashallah, and I was so excited!!
I made a Topper for the window with a very pretty border that I cut out my self without a pattern.

I also made a beautiful little pillow to match, and it looked splendid on the sofa chair.
While I was busy putting the room together I was thinking about these.........
Tandoori Chicken Hoagies
I ate these spicy Chicken stuffed bread rolls  at a restaurant in Georgia, and ever since I could not wait to make them.. There basicly a long roll or sub type of bread, that is packed with Tandoori Chicken, sauces and all the salad choices of your taste. Then there broiled and heated and ready to be served.
What a perfect combination right ??
Sewing Organizing = Chicken Hoagies :)

Well guys the room was ready in just about 2 hours from start to finish, everything just blended in together beautifully
So simple yet stylish, bright and pretty. "Oh and did I forget to say my Dad loved it"
Best of all it gave me such a good feeling, knowing all the hard work was done by me, at very little cost, Mashallah
Alhamdulilah

So then I started fixing lunch because the boys were about to come from school,
and lunch was ready and served in no time!
I baked some tater tots, and French fries in the oven to go along with the Hoagies.

Here  is the recipe Im sure you guys will love it.

Recipe for 6 Hoagies
Prep time 25 min
cook time 30 min

2  (pounds) of chicken breast washed and diced
2 cups of yogurt
1 lemon squeezed
2 tablespoons of garlic minced
4 tablespoons of oil
1 box Shan Tandoori Masala

1 6 pack of bread rolls
mayonnaise or any sauce or condiment of your choice

Directions: Cut and dice your chicken breast

In a large Mixing bowl add your squeezed lemon, yogurt and garlic, mix together well.
Heat a skillet with your oil, and add the chicken marinade, then add one box of Shan Tandoori Masala and cook on high flame for about 15 minutes, then add 1 cup of water and cover let cook until you see the chicken start to release oil, and remove from flame.

Now you can start to arrange your Hoagies.
in your bread rolls add a good size, or a big heap full  of chicken and then put the salads, condiments, and cheese of your choice on top. I used a little bit of mayonnaise on the sides of the bread rolls, but you can use ketchup or any sauce of your choice.
Now once there done you can place them under the broiler to warm them up a bit or you can put them in your microwave and that will work good just fine
.

My Mom was fasting today so I cut her some fruit to go with the dinner.
She really enjoyed it, and I hope you and your loved ones do the same..
