Salaam Guys Ramadans Right around the corner Inshallah... Which means we should be praying to Allah to guide us with strength and give us Taufeeq to abundantly to our Ibadaath... and may Allah accept t Ameen!!!
So Before Ramadan I'm trying to make a list of what foods would be less time consuming, yet taste so deliciously Good.. So today I'm sharing with you all My famous Shepard's Pie Recipe So light Perfect, and Scrumptious To eat with your loved ones this Ramadan... A layer of Spice Beef and Veggie Mixture, Topped with Cheese, and Mashed Potatoes and Placed to bake, and broil in your Oven...
I usually make a big casserole pan, and it feeds the whole family with seconds, So if this seems to much for you then split the recipe for less servings..
And if you want to speed things up, you can use Instant Mashed Potatoes
Prep time Boiling the potatoes for the mash about 25-30
Prep time for everything else 25 minutes

For the mashed potatoes:
6-8 russet potatoes
2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter
salt according to taste
Method: In a large Vessel or pot add your potatoes and cover with warm water. Boil until your potatoes are cooked, and real soft. Strain and place under cold water. Start mashing the potatoes, using a potato masher, and add your milk, butter and salt right away.. Make sure their nice and soft.
Place to a side.
Ingredients for The Beef and Veggie Mix Gravy
1/4 cup of oil
1 pound ground beef
1 onion sliced
1 tablespoon garlic crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Chinese salt
1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
1 bag of frozen vegetables or you can use fresh veggies like I did
2 cup of sliced carrots
2 cups of peas
1 cup of broccoli
1-2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese to use for the topping..
In a nonstick frying pan add your oil, once it is warm add your onion, and cook for about 5 minutes. Then add your beef, and garlic, salt, pepper, Chinese salt and cook for about 10=15 minutes.
Now add your veggies, and your soy sauce, cook covered for another 10-15 minutes and remove from heat. In a large Casserole dish, add your beef, and veggie gravy mix Sprinkle with a handful of cheese, and slowly add your mashed potatoes layering the top evenly leaving no spaces open. Then sprinkle with more mozzarella cheese, and place in a heated oven for about 10 minutes once it is heated through, Stick it under your broiler for just about 3 minutes making sure it doesn't burn. Remove and Serve Immediately..... and Enjoy with your loved ones this Ramadan...
