Tasty Chicken Karahi Made in the oven

Who loves Chicken Karahi????? I'm sure most of you Yummy Desi food lovers do!! and so do I !! I
can have chicken karahi, Beef Karahi, even Vegetable karahi for days and not even get tired of it.. Because its so darn Good... Well today I made a even easier, delicious all in one karahi in my oven... Yes I just threw everything together and placed it in my oven, just like my Chicken Tikka Malai Boti,  and Walla!!! after minutes my kitchen, and my whole house was smelling like heaven.. I was too lazy to cook yesterday, and it was a rainy day, so I thought what the heck, ill just try something new and easy. So it worked out Wonderful.. My hubby loved it, and my kids aren't real big karahi fans, They'd rather have, Daal, or beef curry, or Pizza... I served the yummy goodness with Boiled White Rice , and I made some stir fry veggies to go on the side, which weren't necessary but I just did anyways...  For this particular Recipe I used SHAN's Karahi Masala, because I had some on hand, and plus I was too cold, and lazy that day to make my own masala.. SO this really quicked up the process :)

Prep time 20 minutes
Cook time 45-50 minutes depending on your oven
Oven 350
Recipe source Naz's Kitchen Fiesta
Serves 4-6

Note for this recipe I used a whole chicken, but this would taste even more Divine with chicken Breast, and you could split the recipe if your cooking for Two..

Ingredients
1 whole chicken
2 medium sized onions
3 medium sized tomatoes
2 green chili peppers
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 box Shaan Karahi Masala
2-3 tablespoons Cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup yogurt
green cilantro chopped to add for garnishing
1 Large or 3-4 small lemon Juice Squeezed

Method:
In a large mixing bowl wash and strain your Chicken. Making sure there is no water in the chicken pieces.
add all the above ingredients and Mix all together.
Place in your refrigerator for ATLEAST 30 minutes, for even better results 2-4 hours would be great
Heat your oven to 350, once the oven is heated through, place all the masala in a large casserole dish in the oven covered with aluminum foil for about 30-35 minutes.
After 30-35 minutes remove the foil and let cook with out the aluminum foil, Turn the chicken pieces so they can cook on both sides.
You can use a pastry brush to brush the chicken pieces with olive oil or even butter, or oil.
Once the meat is nice and tender, and has a thick juicy paste, that has turned nice and red, then  turn on your oven broiler, and let them broil making sure they don't burn for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle and garnish with green cilantro and serve immediately.
Over white fluffy rice, or  Serve with your favorite naan or chappati...

For the Veggie Stir Fry:
Ingredients I used
1 small onion/ thinly sliced
1 large potato/thinly sliced
2 large zucchini cut into thin strips
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
In a non stick cooking pan, add your oil, when heated throw in all the above ingredients and cover with a lid on very low flame for about 10 minutes... and you have the best veggie stir fry.
