Tandoori Fried Chicken with French Fries

Fried Chicken with French fries or tator tots, are a favorite Meal here in my family... My kids get so excited they absoloutly love it.... They can have fried chicken for days with out getting tired of it... Sometimes I like to make things easier, (when im lazy) and healthier (less oil) so I just pop it in the oven like my Chicken Tikka Malai Boti **** but today I fried the chicken and I used Shan Tandoori Masala.. I don't only depend on the box, I use my own little techniques to marinate the chicken.. and the secret is letting it sit in the refrigerator for at least up to 2 hours or even up to a whole day or night, if your planning on making it the next day....
It tastes even better with French fries or your favorite salads, like Russian salad, or even Coleslaw...yummmmm!!

Thanks for visiting please stick around for the recipe... and make some "Good Ol' food for your family tonight""

Prep time 25 minutes
cook time 15 minutes per batch
Servings 4-5
Recipe source Nazs Kitchen Fiesta

Ingredients
1 whole chicken washed  cut into pieces 2-3 kilos
1 box Shan Tandoori Masala
1 teaspoon salt
2-4 fresh lemons Squeezed
1 large cup of yogurt
4 teaspoons cooking oil
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 cup of white vinegar
3 cups of all purpose white flour (maida)

Method:
In a large mixing bowl add your washed and strained chicken pieces.
Add 1 cup of vinegar and mix the chicken well getting all the piece covered with vinegar
Leave chicken marinated in the vinegar for 10 minutes...
Then wash and strain the chicken well.
Now add your yogurt, salt, oil, Lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, and Half of the box of the Tandoori Masala..
Place in your refrigerator for up to 2 hours Minimum time
In another large mixing bowl add you flour and the other half of your Tandoori Masala, Mix well using a whisk or your hand.. ( I don't add salt in the flour, because it gets too salty for me)
Heat your oil (I like to use a deep fryer so the chicken cooks evenly on all sides)
Now dip each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, making sure you get flour in the cuts of the chicken.
and once your oil is heated, add them in slowly one by one.
Fry on each side for about 10-12 minutes
(I usually cover the pot of oil with a lid, and lower the flame when the chicken is half way done, so it cook's well from the insides.
Drain on a paper towel, and repeat with the other batch...

Enjoy with your favorite, sides of salad, sauces or French fries...

For the fries
Ingredients
4 Russet Potatoes
salt,
oil
Mehtod:
Peel cut and slice your potatoes, like wedges..
Heat oil, and throw in your wash and strained potato wedges, fry on both sides, until they crispy light brown, about 10 minutes.. Strain on a paper towel to absorb access oil... Sprinkle with Salt, or black pepper:)
