Luscious Chicken Tikka Curry made in 30 minutes

Mouth Watering Chicken Tikka made in 30 minutes, that melts in your mouth.. Sauted, in fresh garlic, ginger, and chili's, then cooked in a thick tomato sauce... That is simmered to wholesome goodness... A must try Recipe for Chicken lovers.. Especially if your bored of making the same old boring Curry type of chicken. I usually cook this meal about once a week, and its cooked in just minutes, tasting just like the Indian restaurants.  I served the Chicken with Fluffy Basmati Rice, (It tastes even better with my HomeMade Naan) and garnished it with fresh cilantro, and lemons. It tasted so good when I squeezed the lemon top, giving it that extra tangy flavor.. The lemon squeezing part is so optional lol...................... Hope you all enjoy this wonderful Tikka curry as much as my friends and family do.. Give it a try today, Its a must try no fail recipe :)

Note: Usually for this specific recipe I like to use fresh garlic ginger, and I like to use fresh tomatoes.. to give it that nice flavor. You can use tomato sauce but it wont have the same taste.. I've used tomato sauce in the past, but it always ends up too heavy and spicy for the kids...

Prep time 10 minutes
Cooking time 30 minutes
Recipe source: Nazs kitchen Fiesta
Servings 4-6

1 pound chicken breast
1/4 cup of oil
3-4 cloves fresh garlic crushed
1 tablespoon crushed ginger
2 green chili peppers
1/2 teaspoon  black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red chili flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon salt or according to your taste
1 teaspoon garam masala
4-5 medium sized tomatoes (blended in a blender or you can use puree, or tomato sauce)
pinch of food coloring (red)

In a large pot or pan add your oil, once the oil is hot, slowly add your chicken garlic, ginger, salt, chili peppers food coloring, and black pepper. Mix and cook covered for about 10 minutes.( the chicken will release water and start to fry in the oil, and garlic etc)
After 10-12 minutes add your pureed tomato sauce and mix well. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes. adding a little bit of water so that it doesn't stick. Once you see the gravy releasing oil add your garam masala and about 1 cup of water, Simmer and remove from heat..
Garnish with fresh ginger, cilantro, and lemons...

    1. Hi anonymous... Just add about 4 medium tomatoes with a pinch of salt and pepper to a food processor and blender, and blend on high for 1 minute... You have instant tomato puree/sauce, then add it into the chicken!!
