Quick Chicken Manchurian With White Rice

 If  you love  Chinese food, and haven't tasted Chicken Manchurian, then "you are so missing out."  Hot steamy boiled rice, With a Sweet and sour thick gravy. full of Chicken, carrots, bell peppers, and oriental flavors... We usually  have CHINESE FOOD about once a week in my family... I cooked  some of this yummy goodness for dinner tonight, and couldn't wait to share the recipe with all of you. xoxo

Don't be afraid to try different foods, if you cook traditional dishes.. Sometimes Its nice to have different kind of recipes.. You don't want that heavy traditional Curry (which is truly yummy) everyday, because it gets boring.. Sometimes its fun to try a new recipe, or a new dish, and believe me this is that Mouthwatering Recipe your whole family will enjoy..
So don't Hesitate Try it Today:)

 Prep time:20 minutes
Cook time: 35 minutes
servings 6/ Stove top cooking

Ingredients: For the rice
3 cups of white rice (washed and soaked 20 minutes prior to boiling)
1 table spoon salt
1 table spoon Chinese salt
1 teaspoon cooking oil
Method: For the rice
add 4 cups of warm watter to a vessel. add salt, and oil. Once the water comes to a boil, add your rice, and cook for 10 minutes on high flame. After 10 minutes lower your flame, cover the lid with a washcloth and simmer the rice for 15 minutes on your lowest flame.
Ingredients: for the Manchurian
2 pounds of boneless chicken breast or thigh, leg(cut into cubes)
1/2 beaten egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder for color or 2 drops of red food coloring
1/2 teaspoon of Chinese salt
4 tablespoons of cornstarch
Oil for frying
In a large mixing bowl mix all the ingredients together. Heat oil and fry the chicken Manchurians until they are light brown (don't over brown them otherwise they will get hard) They should be nice and soft. Drain them on a paper towel to absorb access oil, and put to aside

Ingredients For the gravy:
1 medium sized onion
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon  red chili sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup

1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt ( or according to taste)
1 cup of capsicum, bell peppers
1 cup of carrots
1/2 cup of green onions ( for garnishing)
2 to 3 cups of water
3 tablespoons of cornstarch for thickening of the gravy
3 tablespoons of oil.
1.In a large wok or pan, heat your oil, then add your onions, cook for about 2-3 minutes and add garlic, bell peppers, carrots, salt, pepper, Chinese salt, and soy sauce. Stir fry for about 5 minutes, then add your ketchup.
2. Add your water and cook for about 8-10 minutes.
Then add your cornstarch ( mix about 2 tablespoons of water to form a paste, and use a whisk) Whisking until you start to see a thickness in the gravy...
3. Now add your Chicken pieces. cover, and cook for another 5 minutes
4. Garnish with spring green peppers, and sesame seeds, and enjoy over Hot Boiled Rice!!!
