Easy Meatball Manchurian

Last week I made some of my Quick Chicken Manchurian, and I couldn't stop thinking about it...  I was thinking about it all week, night and day I thought of that yummy Indo Chinese dish, that was so mouthwatering good,  The fun part was eating It with my family, all gathered around the dinner table while my boys had their own little Story's to tell. I was so excited because my kids absolutely loved the Meatball Manchurian.

Quick Chicken Manchurian With White Rice

 If  you love  Chinese food, and haven't tasted Chicken Manchurian, then "you are so missing out."  Hot steamy boiled rice, With a Sweet and sour thick gravy. full of Chicken, carrots, bell peppers, and oriental flavors... We usually  have CHINESE FOOD about once a week in my family... I cooked  some of this yummy goodness for dinner tonight, and couldn't wait to share the recipe with all of you. xoxo

Vanilla and Chocolate Marble Cake

This Recipe Calls for just a few simple Ingredients.. and is definitely a crowd pleaser.. The Marble cake turns out Tall, Moist, and fluffy every time I  bake it for the kids.. This yummy  Marble Cake is a combination of vanilla and chocolate batters that are swirled together just before baking to give  it that wonderful marbled effect. Its so fun and easy to bake..

Beef and Egg Fried Rice made Easy

I'm sure everyone that loves Chinese food, has had the regular egg fried rice!
Well it gets even better! because I make Beef and egg fried Rice..... So explosively delicious.. Bringing even more flavors and seasonings using the BEEF..
A very quick, and convenient Oriental Rice Meal made in no time, that the whole family can enjoy..
Heres my quick Recipe

prep time 15 minutes
cook time total about 45 minutes including the rice.
stove top cooking
Servings for 4

2 cups  rice
1/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chinese salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon red chili sauce
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 large egg or 2 small eggs
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup green onions
1 cup green capsicum peppers
1/4 cup of soy sauce


First start of with your rice. Add about 6 cups of water in a pot or vesel, add salt according to your taste
with 1 teaspoon of chinese salt and one teaspoon of oil. once water comes to a boil add
your rice, and cook for about 12 to 14 minutes, once you see the rice is half way done,not completly done
halfway remove from heat immediatly, strain in a strainer and put to aside.

Using a nonstick or any frying pan, add your oil, beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, stir fry for about 6-8 minutes

In the same frying pan , push the beef to aside, and break in your egg, you can addd a pinch of turmeric on the egg if you want a more yellow color.
Scramble the eggs, cooking on medium flame
Now add your green onions, bell peppers, carrots, chili sauce and soy sauce mix together for about6-8 minutes and  add your boiled rice, mix the Rice together, add a few more strokes of soy sauce. Cover with a tight lid so the rice can get evenly steamed, and heated through,  have the flame on very low for about 15 minutes.

Serve hot with your favorite side dishes,  or chutneys and Sauces.

The New Oriental Style Beef Salan

Tired of the same old Keema (ground beef) ?? Then this is a great twist of  flavors, To give you that oriental taste, yet still having the Desi flavours.. I know our desi husbands will eat some of our favorites a couple times a week, but no matter what they MUST have their desi, salans, currys etc..
(My hubby will be nice a few times I cook pizza, spaghetti's, casserole's but it wont last that long)

So Instead of making the Beef as a simple salan to serve with Naan, I add some Capsicum Peppers (bell peppers) and Carrots to it when its halfway done.. I even add in a few Teaspoons of Soy Sauce and Chinese salt...("youre hubby wont even know lol") By doing so it doesn't taste like curry instead it tastes like your eating out, or like your eating some delicious Chinese Food Especially if your going to serve the meal with WHITE RICE.
 So all the ladies out there that don't have a clue of what to cook for their so called Desi hubbys. This is a great idea! Its cooked in just no time and you're whole family will enjoy the Meal..xx

Prep time 15 minutes
Cook time 20 minutes
Servings 4-6
stove top cooking

1 pound lean ground beef
1 large onion Finely diced
3 medium tomatoes finely diced
2 green chilis finely diced
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon red chilli pepper (or according to taste)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 capsicum peppers sliced lengthwise
2 Carrots cut into bias pieces
1/2 teaspoon Chinese salt
3 teaspoons soy sauce
4 teaspoons of cooking oil

1. In a wok, or pan add oil when the oil is hot add in your onions, stir fry for about 2 minutes.
 Add in your beef, Garlic, tomatoes, peppers, salt, Chinese salt,  pepper, chilis, and turmeric.
2. Cover and cook on medium flame for about 10 minutes (always keep water handy just incase your curry's start to stick)
3. add 1/4 of a cup of water and cover again and cook for 6-8 minutes, Once you see the gravy releasing oil add in your Capsicum peppers,  carrots, and soy sauce.
4. Cover and cook again for 10 minutes.
5. add 1/2 cup of water Cover and simmer for 2-4 minutes.
6. Garnish with green cilantro or green onions (optional) and serve with  Pipeing Hot Naan or White Rice.. and Salad.
6. ENJOY............

Mouthwatering Koftas in Yogurt gravy...

  This Recipe is for Mouthwatering Koftas in yogurt gravy (salan)
Koftas are spicy beef meatballs fried, and then put into a special yogurt gravy.. Served on special occasions, such as  Eid, festivals, and party's.. or you can have them for any simple day..

Their are thousands of recipes out there.. but everyone has there own unique way of cooking them.. I tend to fry the koftas instead of cooking them in the gravy because I don't like Raw Meat, and my experience is finding the koftas that are not fried to end up soggy and kind of raw..
So I have been making this particular recipe for many years.. The meatballs are not hard, I mean their coarse or hard when their fried, but once added to the gravy and covered and simmered in the gravy their so moist, juicy, and perfect!
This Recipe calls for a Food processor, because you want to have a smooth textured gravy. Koftas serve great with white Naan, or Chinese fried rice, or just plain old white rice..
So get ready for my simple Recipe for Mouthwatering Koftas.......
prep time 25 minutes
cook time 30 minutes
stove top cooking
serves 4-6 hungry people
For kofta meatballs:
1 lb pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed coriander (dania)
1 egg
1/2 cup of white all purpose flour ( maida)

Put all the ingredients except for the egg, and flour into your food processor and mince for about 1 minute... Put into a mixing bowl and mix, add in the egg and the flour mix with your hand. Knead the beef using your hands, and palms like you would do for mixing (atta) or flour. Once completely mixed  start performing 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide meatballs... and arrange in a plate, in the meantime preheat your oil ( it should be clean oil that has not been used for frying before) fry on both sides mixing them around in the oil to get completely covered.. Remove from heat once their a brown color, and place on a paper towel to absorb oil...
For the Gravy
1 large onion
4 medium sized tomatoes or 1 cup of pure tomato sauce
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red chili peppers
 1 cup of yogurt
1 teaspoon crushed cumin (zeera)
1 teaspoon crushed coriander(dania)
1/4 cup of cooking oil

Method for the gravy...
Heat oil in a large cooking pan, add onions and fry until they turn light golden brown.
Put the tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, salt, chili pepper cumin and coriander in a
food processor, and blend on high for 1 minute.. It should be a liquidy paste.. add the paste mixture, to the onions
Cook on high flame for 15 minutes.. adding a bit of water if it starts to stick..
then pour in your cup of yogurt stir, and cook again for 10-12 minutes.
Once you see the  yogurt gravy releasing oil add 1 1/2 cups of water
cook the gravy for 6-8 minutes.. Throw in your meatball Koftas cover again and cook for
10 min.. Then  put the flame on very low (simmer), and keep covered. The gravy will release the oil,
your color of the koftas will turn beautifully red, your koftas will be as soft as ever..
garnish with green cilantro, ginger, and green peppers, Serve with Fried Rice, White Rice,  or My step by step recipe for perfect Naan
