Butter Lemon Bar Cake

This Yummy Buttery lemon cake is an all time favorite of my family. Its so light and perfect to eat with tea or coffee. Its so easy and fun to make. You can make extra and store in an air tight container for later. Give it try I know you will enjoy it.




 1 cup butter                                              
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 cups self-rising flour
2 tablespoons grated lemon peel
1/3 cup lemon juice


1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Heat oven to 375°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In

3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining bar ingredients in order listed, mixing well after each addition. Spread batter in pan.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool in pan on cooling rack 10 minutes.
 While bars are cooling, in small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm bars.
Cool completely, about 1 hour. For bars, cut into 8 rows by 6 rows and Enjoy. Please subscribe and like us on Facebook.
