Chicken Tikka with Naan

Chicken Tikka with Naan:

This is a must try for Ramadan your family will really enjoy this: Enjoy

Ingredients:
 (serves 6)

-2 lb Boneless chicken breast
-1/2 cup yogurt
-1/2 tsp Garlic
-1/2 tsp turmeric
-  1 tsp paprika (mostly for the red color)
- 1 tsp Red pepper
- Salt to taste
- lemon juice to taste
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup Olive oil ( Or any other oil I prefer Olive Oil)


Vegetable any kind you prefer we had

-Lettuce
-tomatoes
-bell pepper
-cucumber
-onions
Chopped really fine

Chutney

-cilantro
-1 green pepper
-2 cups yogurt
-1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp lemon juice
-salt to taste

Naan

- 4 cups white flour
- 2 tbs oil
- 1 cup of milk
- water (a little at a time just to make sure it doesn't stick to your hands)
-1 tsp salt
- 1 tbs yeast
- 1 tsp baking powder ( or if you don't have just add 2 tbsp yeast)
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Directions:

1) Cut chicken into 1 inch cubes, marinate with yogurt, lemon, turmeric, paprika, red pepper salt to taste, garlic and add tomato sauce marinate and set aside for about 10 mins.

2) Heat Olive oil and throw in chicken marinate cook for about 5 mins, then cover for 5 mins and then let it simmer on low heat for another 10 mins. Add a little water if it sticks

3) Now we will make our chutney: Add your cilantro and green pepper in a chopper or blender and puree it. Add that in a bowl mix the yogurt, lemon juice, buttermilk with the puree and add some salt to taste, It will be a think mixture.

4) Making dough for Naan: Add the all purpose white flour along with Oil, milk, yeast, baking powder, salt, and make a thick dough with water. I prefer warm water, Make sure the dough is thick and knead it well.

5) Cut up your veggies and Your ready for a delicious main meal that your family will love and enjoy very healthy and easy to cook. Feel free to leave any comments if you need additional help.

  2. Thankyou Mahwish Qadeer for your kind words. Now for the naan You can bake them or simply cook them on a Tava Pan. Preheat your oven to Broil on Medium Heat, Cook one side of the Naan on a Tava pan Than using a Spatula place the Naan in the oven under the Broiler, and it will cook the Top of the naan so wonderfully, Then just butter the Naan with Ghee and cover in a washcloth so their warm.

    1. Hi, sumaya Shafeeq Red pepper is Crushed red chilis, and green peppers would be Green chilis HOpe this helps :)
