Dhai Baray ( soft lentil Dumplings)
Salam everyone now this is one of my family's
This is a perfect cooling snack, delicious at any time
of the day, and made in a jiffy........
For this you will need
1 kilo yogurt
for the dumplings you will need
2 cups of besan flour (gram flour)
1 pinch of baking soda
half tea spoon of salt
1 tea spoon of SHAAN chaat masala
and some water for mixing.
for the masala you will need
1 green chilli
cilantro for garnishing
(and of course a spoon to digg in LOL)
Now heat a frying pan with oil ,in the mean while mix in all the ingredients to the besan flour add in water stirring occasionaly with wisk,add chaat masala salt and baking soda.once you have a smooth dough start to fry the dumplings you can use a table spoon to put them in the oil.Once they are light brown remove from fire , and put them on a napkin or baking sheet, now let them cool for about 2 minutes, after they have cooled, soak the dumplings in water for 30 seconds, and remove immediately The reason for this is so they wont absorb all the yogurt.
Now in the yogurt add in the onion,tomato,green pepper,and stir. Then add the pre soaked dumplings(baray) in the yogurt sprinkle with some shan chaat masala and garnish with fresh cilantro. Wala!!!!!!!!! you have yummy soft dumplings in yogurt for the whole family to munch on... Hope you enjoy......
