How To make Chicken Tandoori Fajitas





                         Tandoori Chicken Fajitas

This recipe is a Delicious eastern style fajitas. Which consist of a white naan tortilla made of white flour, with tandoori chicken. We will then Garnish it with a Yogurt mixture called Chutney made of cilantro and finish off with some fresh salad, Veges ETC. Enjoy and please let me know if you need any additional help.

      What will be needed:
(feeds 8 very hungry people)

2 pounds boneless chicken breast
2 cups low fat plain yogurt
1/4 cup olive oil (or vege, canola etc)
2 cloves minced garlic
1 onion
1 box Shan Tandoori Masaala

5 cups self rising white flour (pic included)

1 head lettuce
tomato
bell pepper
cucumber
onion

1 cup yogurt
cilantro
1 green hot chili
a little lemon to taste
salt



First we will start of with the dough mixture 

Its Self Rising Enriched flour (pic included) you can purchase any brand.

Step 1.
Knead 5 cups dough with hot water and put aside:


We will now start on the chicken mixture:
 
Step 1.
cut 2 pounds boneless chicken breast into 1 inch cubes 
and minced Garlic and 1 cup yogurt along with the tandoori masaala
Mix together and put aside for at least 15 mins: (should look like picture to the right)

While were waiting on the chicken marinate, Lets start to cut our Delicious Lettuce and vegetables






Mince up the lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber and bell pepper in a large bowl mix together and get a little lemon and drizzle it over. Pop into refrigerator 





Now we will heat up our oil and throw in the chicken marinate and fry and cook for about 20 mins. Once chicken is tender and cooked turn off heat. It should look like Picture.










Were almost done and this is going to be one Delicious meal which your guest will remember for long time ;)

we will now start to make our naan:

Take naan flour make about 3 inch balls 
Heat your Hot pan and roll our naan about 8 inches out. Cook on each side for about one minute until it looks like the picture included:

Lastly we will make our quick and delicous Chutney to Garnish it off:

Add your 1 cup yogurt, With some garnished (minced up cilantro) I usually use a juicer to mince it very small. Salt to taste and little dash of lemon. Mix ( see Pic below)





















OK now Finally we will Layout our tortilla add mixture of chicken add the vegetable and Delicious chutney roll up and enjoy: You will love it

  1. What will be recipe for naan if I do not want to use self raising flour?

  2. Hi Mahwish, if you don't have selfriseing flour available, Then you can use 5 cups of all purpose flour with 4 tablespoons of active Dry yeast with 1 teaspoon of salt.. and 2 teaspoons of oil.. Mix salt, flour, and yeast with your hands. Heat 2 cups of hot/ warm water, and mix gradually adding water little by little until you get a stiff, and sticky dough..... Cover and put to aside in a warm place.. Hope this helps Mahwish.. I made some today.. check out the picture on facebook... Then naan were so so soft..:)
